The Octopus and the Chick
In the manner of Jean de la Fontaine
In a tumultuous ocean,
There lived a tentacled octopus,
Who loved to observe the skies,
And dreamed of being a star.
One day she met a chick,
Who was playing alone on the beach,
And asked him, with a sly air,
Why he hid his face.
The chick wisely replied,
“I protect my privacy,
Prying glances, caresses,
To live in complete freedom.
The octopus, perplexed, asked,
“But why hide like this?
Why not live life to the fullest, without veil or mask,
And offer yourself to the world without worries?
The chick, wise as gold,
Replied with determination,
“Privacy is a right of passage,
To live in harmony with one's passion.
The octopus then understood,
The importance of privacy,
And decided to follow this golden path,
To live in peace, in complete freedom.
And since that day, the octopus and the chick,
Live in harmony, without judgment or scrutiny,
By protecting their privacy like a treasure,
To live their lives to the fullest, without any delay.
